Accessed from the quiet Via Carattino, the entrance is technically on the first floor but, due to the building’s height above the main street, it feels more like the fifth floor. This privileged position enhances both the views and the sense of privacy, although guests should be aware that the external path and internal stairs may not be suitable for those with reduced mobility.

Inside, modern comfort meets a well-organised layout designed to make the most of compact spaces.

The living area offers a brand-new, fully equipped kitchen with induction hob, fridge, washing machine, microwave and Nespresso coffee machine, alongside a cosy sitting area that opens directly onto the private terrace. A split heat pump located in the living area serves the whole floor, providing cooling in summer and heating in winter, while additional fans ensure comfort throughout the apartment.

Sleeping areas are arranged over two levels.

Upstairs: a comfortable double bedroom with a skylight and air conditioning provides a quiet, intimate retreat, while an adjacent open space with a single bed is ideal for a child and benefits from natural light and ventilation, although with the lower ceilings typical of attic rooms. Downstairs: a separate single bedroom is cooled by airflow from the living area and has a fan, offering a practical and comfortable option for families. The bathroom, while compact, is functional and includes a shower.

La Maison de la Mer is particularly well suited to couples looking for a romantic escape and small families who want to experience Vernazza in an authentic yet comfortable way. The combination of a panoramic terrace, modern kitchen facilities and a central location makes it an excellent base for exploring the Cinque Terre.

Pets (important information):

Small and medium-sized dogs are welcome, subject to an additional fee and compliance with the house rules.

Pet rules: dogs must be kept on a lead in all common areas of the building, including the stairs and the garden; owners are responsible for their pet’s behaviour and must ensure it does not disturb other guests; dogs are not allowed on beds or sofas.
