History and Location: built in 1880, Villa Montale holds a prestigious heritage as the former residence of Nobel Prize winner for literature, Eugenio Montale. Situated atop a small hill in Monterosso's western part, Fegina, it boasts proximity to the renowned beaches of the area.

Apartment Features: occupying the second floor, the "I Limoni" apartment exudes grandeur with its breathtaking frescoes and Genoese mosaic floors. It comprises five bedrooms (four doubles and one twin with a single sofa bed), three opulent bathrooms with showers, and a fully equipped kitchen.

Furnishings and Design: each bedroom is adorned with a distinct color scheme, offering either sea or park views. The terrazzo flooring and refined furnishings echo the elegance of 19th-century noble residences.

Amenities: despite lacking air conditioning, the apartment maintains a comfortable temperature due to its shaded, well-ventilated location. Fans are provided for additional comfort. Guests can enjoy Wi-Fi access and avail paid private parking (one car maximum in designated area). They are also welcome to explore the villa's garden, adhering to privacy and tranquility regulations.

Additional Activities and Services: ideal for family gatherings, the property offers bespoke services such as Chef-at-Home and cooking classes. Cinque Terre Riviera facilitates boat trips and private tours upon request. Private airport or train station transfers are available at an extra cost, particularly for late check-ins.

Regulations: parties or dinners necessitate prior authorization, but guests are encouraged to relish the serene ambiance of the garden. Late check-ins after 6.30 pm incur additional charges. Guests are expected not to hang towels or clothing on the front and side facades.

Good to Know: the owner of this property does not allow us to accept self check-ins. We can provide assisted late check-ins at extra charge but only up to 10:00 p.m. Later than that, your stay will have to be programmed staring from the following day. Please, check well flights and train or eventual activities timings on your way to Monterosso before booking!

Late check-in Fees:

- from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. 50.00 euros

- from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. 80.00 euros

No check-ins are accepted after 10:00 p.m.

Other things to keep in mind: small dogs are welcome in this property with extra cost and acceptance of rules (as per the extra supplement item) - dogs are to be kept at leash in the building common areas (stairs and garden)

Cinque Terre Riviera Plus:

Please Note: in the event of malfunctioning of some equipment and services, including air conditioning, dishwashers, washing machines, telephones, wifi and any other equipment and in the event of a gas cut and/or lack of heating, the Cinque Terre Riviera will promptly act to provide support and resolve the fault. Since the structures are located in the National Park area, intervention times are often longer and understanding is required for these difficulties. Cinque Terre Riviera will not be held responsible for problems not due to its negligence and will not grant refunds for such inconveniences. Turning on the heating is prohibited by law from Apr 1st to Nov 08th.

Celebrations are not allowed for Christmas and New Year holidays (as, anyway, in any other period). During the holidays only families are accepted. Groups of young people not accepted. A deposit of 1500.00 euros is required by credit card to cover any damage, refundable after inspection of the property by our staff.
